Good quality food means something to our family.
After the birth of our second child, our farm co-owner & mother of this family, Christina, became rather ill.
After many doctor's appointments, lots of frustrations and a few obscure diagnoses, Christina was told she battled thyroid autoimmunity and genetic detoxification issues. What usually came next was the doctors grave reminders that "lifestyle is what caused this chronic condition" or something along the lines of "synthetic, pharmaceutical medications taken for the remainder of life are the only way to feel healthy again".Though modern medicine and pharmaceuticals certainly have their place in our society and they are a life-line for many, that didn't feel like the right answer here.
This began a health revival in our family and a life-long love of understanding (via experiencing) the power of good nutrition. We switched to organic, local produce, learned why grass-fed meat is superior, ditched many toxic chemicals, began to read ingredient labels and more. These easy steps made a huge difference in Christina's health...so our family arrived at the place where many folks do in pursuit of more healthy food...Raw milk. We found an amazing local farm, and began consuming raw milk.
It was a game-changer in not only Christina's health, but the health of our entire family. With healthy gut-microbiomes (thank you living enzymes!) stable, energy, and clear minds from all the good omega-3's, we began telling everyone we knew about raw milk's incredible benefits. We brought it to gatherings and family functions, showed off new recipes to those we loved, and basically made it part of our family's personality! Fast forward a few years, we were able to settle into a beautiful home in sunny, Palisade CO with room for farm animals of our own. With the regenerative farming experience of giants like Joel Salatin, Shawn and Beth Dougherty, and the ultimate wisdom given generously by our kind God (James 1:5) We decided to start Grand View Acres with the utmost standards of high-quality farm products. We would only offer the gold standards of raw milk, heritage pork and free range chicken products. A2/A2, grass-fed, rotationally grazed, 100% corn and soy free. Always.
